For David and Karen Burnett, returning to Tunisia in the Summer of 2015 meant returning to an all-encompassing warmth. A year later, filled with excitement and apprehension, David and Karen got back on the plane to Canet for their first ‘real’ adventure. Their brand new Beneteau Oceanis 50 Te Anau was patiently waiting after a winter in storage. They needed to get her out of the EU before the 18 months ‘export window’ expired… or else pay 20% waters tax.

Beneteau Cup 2017

On the eve of the Beneteau Cup, thunderstorms mercilessly lashed Sydney. Many people awoke to loud cracks of lightning, wondering if the Beneteau Cup would be called off. Lady luck was on our side though … and by the morning the sun started to shine through the black clouds. You could feel the elation through the crowd as the storm that had ravaged Sydney only hours before miraculously turned into prime racing conditions.

Graham’s first look at Beneteau’s new Swift Trawler 35

Beneteau’s new re-design of the popular 34-foot Swift Trawler had its official world premiere and launch at the Southampton Boat Show 2017. Flagstaff Marine Director, Graham Raspass, was lucky enough to be there.

Oceanis 38.1 – A perfect compromise

After years of chatting about buying a brand new sailboat, they decided it made sense to go in together. They plan on using it together, separately, with family (Peter has five kids and four grandkids; Rob has two kids), and go out with friends … essentially this is going to be a well-loved boat!
