A great of example of Jeanneau's most popular model!
Jeanneau really nailed the brief on the Sun Odyssey 349, combining looks, interior volume and sailing ability in a very nifty package.
This boat is the 2 cabin version, which means there is a mammoth deck locker and a separate shower cubicle in the head. It's not hard once on board to see why they sold so many of these- it's a brilliant layout and makes full use of the space.
Quicksilver has always been on a marina and used almost exclusively for twilight racing. This means relatively low engine hours, good sails and a seldom used interior in light oak. On deck the large cockpit with a centre table has ample room for entertaining and the swim platform is easily accessed between the twin helms. The floating jib leads do away with tracks on the decks, meaning less things to stub your toe on and contributing the overall feel of space on deck.
The bimini and dodger are in good condition, and her square top carbon technora Stratis sails from Doyle means she sails really well- her pedigree form the board of Marc Lombard is very evident with a chined twin rudder design she tracks beautifully to windward, and is really well balanced. Her twin rudders make her very light and responsive to drive.
She has a striking dark grey wrap on her, which has been on since new but still has plenty of life left in it. That said, her next buyer could, if so inclined, peel it off and have a pristine white hull to show off to their friends!
Quicksilver is an excellent example of a great model, and is ready for you to step on and sail away.
Quicksilver is available for viewing in Rushcutters Bay- Please contact Campbell Geeves at Flagstaff Marine on 0424 178 629 to arrange an inspection.
