ANNUAL OUT OF WATER SLIPPING

It is recommended that every year your boat should be lifted out of the water for the hull to be thoroughly cleaned and polished and new antifoul applied.

Our specialist shipwrights and mechanics also use this opportunity to check and service other critical underwater parts of your boat, including the shafts/sterndrive (s), anodes, rudder bearings and bow/stern-thruster if you have one.

We give the prop(s) a special coating of prop-speed and carefully inspect all hull fittings, seals and trim tabs.

ROUTINE MECHANICAL & SERVICING

An annual engine service is also essential. Your boat doesn’t need to be out of the water for this but it makes sense to combine it with slipping.

Our certified marine mechanics work through a comprehensive checklist of service items on the engine and its ancillary components. We check and replace oil, belts, gaskets and filters so you can head out on the water with confidence that the engine will perform reliably and efficiently whenever you need it.

If you clock up an increased number of engine hours and/or have a generator on board, the Flagstaff Marine additional service is a good option as it includes a second engine service and a genset service each year.

Servicing and routine maintenance extend to the battery and electrical system, steering bearings and cables, toilets and holding tanks and even the anchor windlass. A qualified electrician will also ‘test and tag’ your shore power lead so you comply fully with marina regulations.

Routine Cleaning - Interior

There’s nothing better than jumping on board a clean yacht!

Regular cleaning and vacuuming of all living spaces, sanitisation of the heads, airing of the boat and careful detailing of the galley will ensure your boat is always clean and fresh and a pleasure to live aboard.

ANNUAL SUPERIOR CLEAN - INTERNAL

Our experienced detailers look far beyond a surface clean, paying specific attention to the cleanliness of mattresses, carpets, cushions and fabrics, polishing of timber and gelcoat surfaces, treatment of leather and vinyl and lifting floorboards

Heads receive a full sanitisation, and all galley components are comprehensively cleaned. We deep-clean throughout your boat to ensure even the out-of-sight areas like the bilges, engine compartment, and cupboard interiors are well presented.

ROUTINE CLEANING - EXTERIOR

Boat’s live in a harsh marine environment and to maintain them, external detailing is essential. The Flagstaff Marine team of detailers/cleaners will wash down your boat’s top side hull and deck, wipe all canvases, clears and stainless steel and ensure drainage channels are clean and free flowing to prevent damage.

By selecting a regular cleaning service, whether it be six-monthly, quarterly or monthly, you’ll be freeing up your time so you can enjoy using your boat rather than looking after it.

ANNUAL CLEAN - EXTERIOR

For a more comprehensive cleaning option, the experienced Flagstaff Marine detailing team will machine polish and buff the deck and cockpit areas and treat any teak surfaces with a two-part cleaner and brightener to remove stains and restore it to original appearance.

Stainless steel stanchions, rigging and the BBQ are thoroughly cleaned and hand-polished, rust stains are removed, and all canvases, clears, and external cushions are cleaned and conditioned.

Recognising that yacht owners are often busy people, Flagstaff Marine offers the option of having the administrative tasks of boat ownership looked after, too.

As agents for the major marine insurance companies, competitive and comprehensive cover is tailored to your specific requirements and implemented on your behalf.

Annual registration and berthing agreements can also be handled by the experienced team, freeing you up to go boating as often as possible!

OTHER SERVICES
