Swift Pacific adventure - an epic journey on Beneteau's SWIFT TRAWLER 47

Beneteau has launched an epic adventure on the NEW Swift Trawler 47 and is inviting you to follow along. The Swift Pacific Adventure will journey down the US east coast this month, beginning in Seattle, Washington and concluding in San Diego, California, on May 31st.

Flagstaff Marine is excited to be hosting the Australian premiere of the NEW Swift Trawler 47 at Sydney International Boat Show this August – we think the Swift Pacific Adventure is the perfect introduction to this comfortable and seaworthy cruiser, ideal for our rugged Australian coastline.

When you sign up to follow the Swift Pacific Adventure, you’ll be able to track the boat in real-time and read about her adventures as well as view photos and videos captured by her captain and crew along the Pacific Coast. There will be different captains on board at various times throughout her passage; they’ll document cruising conditions, sights, interesting people they meet along the way and key Swift Trawler 47 performance stats.

One of the three skippers is renowned nature photographer, Doc White. He’ll be documenting the trip and is sure to get some fantastic shots of the many whales – from blue and grey whales to humpbacks and orcas – that make the Californian coast their playground.

The newest in Beneteau’s highly successful Swift Trawler range, the Swift Trawler 47 is the product of over 135 years of boatbuilding experience, taking on board the owner feedback received from more than 1,000 Swift Trawlers in use today.

Taking on the Pacific Ocean is an ambitious adventure and requires a boat that’s up to the challenge. Combining robust seaworthiness, live-aboard comfort and the latest innovations in naval technology, the NEW Swift Trawler 47 is perfectly fit for purpose. The twin Cummins 425 HP engines, in conjunction with the hull design, make for an efficient cruising boat at displacement speeds while also boasting a top speed in excess of 25 knots – meaning you can cruise further and faster when needed.

The Swift Trawler 47 is sleek, yet just as tough as she is beautiful. Off the transom, the hydraulic swim platform is designed not only for easy access to the water for swimming and diving but also to quickly launch and retrieve a dingy with a maximum weight capacity of 350kgs.

Once onboard, the transition from the swim platform to the cockpit is seamless as they’re both on the same level.

Double sliding doors span the entire opening from the cockpit into the salon, offering a welcoming environment.

The oversized galley leads to the salon seating and into the main helm station, giving the space a continuous flow — a characteristic unlike any Swift Trawler model before her.

The space is perfect for entertaining guests or preparing generous meals while onboard.

Another innovation that makes a strong impression is the optional flybridge hardtop. This hardtop protects the oversized flybridge seating area and the secondary helm station. The show-stopper flybridge offers panoramic views and the perfect spot for entertaining – and for whale watching!
