Gran Turismo 50 World Premiere

It’s been a busy and exciting month for Flagstaff Marine Directors, Graham and Micah. They were lucky enough to attend the Cannes Yachting Festival in September for the world premiere and launch of Beneteau’s flagship new model – the Gran Turismo 50.

Enjoy the first look around this awesome new model via the video walkthrough.

Gran Turismo powerboats are quick to accelerate and easy to handle with a top speed of 36 knots. The range is characterized by a large central cockpit and spacious well thought out on-deck entertaining areas.

The anticipation for this new, larger model has been building for months. So what was it like for Graham to step on board for the first time?

Well … he was super impressed with the Italian design and commented,

“The Gran Turismo 50 is a stunning looking boat. The collaboration of Italian designers, Nuvolari & Lenard with interior design by Andreani has created the kind of elegance with touches of sumptuous luxury that you would normally only find in a superyacht!”

There’s no doubt the interior would be top class when the designers previously designed for Ferrari! And the high standard of finish is typical of the quality boat owners to have come to expect from the world’s number one boat builder Beneteau.

There are a few firsts with this new model too.

It’s the first model to introduce Beneteau’s ‘full space concept’ which means the main deck is completely open for seamless indoor/outdoor living. Perfect for our Australian climate!

It’s also the first model to include Beneteau’s new innovative Ship Control system which provides user-friendly, centralised access to all the boat’s controls … making boating easy for everyone!

Buyers have the choice of two or three cabins including a full beam owners’ cabin with en suite shower room. There’s the choice between the Hardtop option with extra protection and an elegant retractable sun roof or the Sportfly with second driving station for spectacular views from the elevated driving position.

Other key features include: a tender garage large enough for a Williams Minijet 270 and a huge submersible swim platform, perfect for summer water sports.

As soon as this exciting new model was revealed in Cannes … it was SOLD!

And even more exciting … it was sold to an Australian customer. So the first Gran Turismo 50 hardtop off the production line, #1 will be heading Downunder very soon! In fact, the new owners will be out on Sydney Harbour in time to celebrate the New Year’s Eve fireworks. What a way to welcome 2018!

The other BIG NEWS is that the Gran Turismo 50 has been nominated for the prestigious European Powerboat of the Year Award 2018.

Gran Turismo-50

It wasn’t just the Gran Turismo 50 that attracted attention at Cannes, the Gran Turismo 40 was also popular and Flagstaff SOLD a model to another Australian buyer. So there’ll be another Gran Turismo joining the GT 50 on the water this New Year. They’ll certainly be the sports cruisers on everyone’s Christmas list this year.

If you would like to be out enjoying Sydney Harbour and beyond this summer, we have worked very closely with the Beneteau factory to bring you some great value Gran Turismo summer offers.
