Beneteau's Unique Mainsail Arch

Beneteau yachts over 40 feet all come with the unique mainsail arch as standard. This wonderful innovation keeps the cockpit clear of clutter so it’s safer and more relaxing for your guests to be out on the water with you.

By securing the mainsheet tackle further aft on the boom, the Beneteau design team has cleverly made it easier for you to centre the boom. And having the tackle lashed aft of the boom reduces tension on the sheet, making trimming easier.

Not having a mainsheet traveller means the companionway hatch now has a larger opening and easy-to-navigate 45° stairs leading to the saloon.

The coachroof cover and bimini top are fitted to the mainsail arch during commissioning … so you are completely protected in the cockpit from the sun and bad weather.

The mainsail arch houses the cockpit lighting, giving great lighting for entertaining after dark.
