ANNUAL OUT OF WATER SLIPPING

Every year your yacht must be lifted out of the water for the hull to be thoroughly cleaned and polished and new antifoul applied.

Our specialist shipwrights and mechanics also use this opportunity to check and service other critical underwater parts of your boat including the saildrive, anodes, rudder bearings and bow-thruster if you have one.

We give the prop a special coating of prop-speed and carefully inspect all hull fittings, seals and the keel bolts.

ROUTINE MECHANICAL AND SERVICING

An annual engine service is also essential. Your boat doesn’t need to be out of the water for this but it makes sense to combine it with slipping.

Our certified marine mechanics work through a comprehensive checklist of service items on the engine and its ancillary components. We check and replace oil, belts, gaskets and filters so you can head out on the water with confidence the engine will perform reliably and efficiently whenever you need it.

If you clock up an increased number of engine hours and/or have a generator on board, Flagstaff Marine’s platinum package is a good option as it includes a second engine service and a genset service each year.

EXTRA MECHANICAL AND SERVICING

Though all the critical engine service items are covered in all the Flagstaff Marine maintenance packages, signing up for the gold or platinum option will give you additional peace of mind.

Servicing and routine maintenance extend to the battery and electrical system, steering bearings and cables, toilets and holding tanks and even the anchor windlass. A qualified electrician will also ‘test and tag’ your shore power lead so you comply fully with marina regulations.

This option appeals specifically to racing enthusiasts as it also covers a rig check and tune and the servicing of sheet winches and furlers. All this helps ensure your yacht performs at its best round the buoys.

Routine Cleaning - Interior

There’s nothing better than jumping on board a clean yacht!

Regular cleaning and vacuuming of all living spaces, sanitisation of the heads, airing of the mattresses and careful detailing of the galley will ensure your boat is always clean and fresh and a pleasure to live aboard.

Silver and gold packages both offer options of regular interior cleaning, with platinum package subscribers enjoying the increased benefits of a monthly service.

Superior Cleaning - Interior

Flagstaff Marine’s superior interior cleaning package is ideal if you never want to lift a finger on board.

Experienced detailers look far beyond a surface clean, paying specific attention to the steam cleaning of mattresses, carpets, cushions and fabrics, polishing of timber and gelcoat surfaces and the treatment of leather and vinyl.

Heads receive a full sanitisation and all galley components are dismantled, comprehensively cleaned and reassembled. We deep clean the galley and professionally remove any stains. Our detailing team also ensures even the out of sight areas like the bilge, engine compartment and cupboard interiors are always ready for inspection.

Routine Cleaning - Exterior

Your yacht lives in a harsh marine environment so external detailing is essential.

Flagstaff Marine shipwrights will wash down your boat’s hull and decks, wipe all canvases, clears and stainless steel and ensure drainage channels are clean and free flowing to prevent damage.

By selecting a regular cleaning service, whether it be six-monthly, quarterly or monthly, you’ll be freeing up your time so you can enjoy using your boat rather than looking after it.

Superior Cleaning - Exterior

If you are looking for a more comprehensive cleaning option on a regular basis (six-monthly – gold package and quarterly – platinum package), the experienced Flagstaff Marine detailing team will machine polish and buff the deck and cockpit areas and treat any teak surfaces with a two-part cleaner and brightener to remove stains and restore its original appearance.

Stainless steel stanchions, rigging and the BBQ are thoroughly cleaned and hand polished, rust stains are removed and all canvases, clears and external cushions are cleaned and conditioned.

By selecting this superior external cleaning service, you will not only help ensure your yacht always looks spectacular, but you will also protect your investment to optimise resale value in the future.

Boat Administration

To make your boat ownership experience as enjoyable as possible, owners subscribing to a platinum package can take advantage of many additional services.

Our team can take care of the laundering of bedding and towels, washing of sails, compliance inspections of safety equipment such as life raft, life jackets, fire extinguishers and EPIRBs plus the ongoing care and upkeep of running rigging, tenders and other boating hardware.
