Discover Pacemaker: A Sailing Experience Like No Other.
Introducing Pacemaker, a Ben Lexcen-designed sailing yacht that embodies the spirit of adventure and the thrill of sailing. Originally crafted as a racing yacht, Pacemaker has gracefully transitioned into a performance blue water cruiser. Its journey has taken her from Western Australia to Sydney via South East Asia, showcasing her versatility and adaptability.
Many of Ben Lexcen's designs have become classics, well ahead of their time with performance, interior volume and ease of handling part of their DNA. Pacemaker is no exception.
When it came to her current owners, two discerning design engineers, they had clear expectations: the yacht must perform excellently under sail, even when facing headwinds, and provide seamless access to the water from the back of the boat. Pacemaker exceeds these criteria with flying colors. In the winter of 2020, it embarked on an ambitious voyage from Fremantle to Sydney, navigating through Darwin, a journey she handled with remarkable ease.
The yacht's glass-coated strip planking construction make her a joy to sail and Pacemaker exhibits an exceptional robustness that proves invaluable in strong winds and rough conditions. Despite her impressive size, Pacemaker is designed for ease of handling. The furling headsail, combined with a generous layout of winches, allows for effortless sailing even when short-handed.
Downstairs, the sense of light and space belie her age. Designed for long term stays aboard, and refitted in 2013, she is bright and airy, with ample accommodation for 6.
Whether you're planning a day trip from Pittwater to Sydney or longer overnight passages, she can be managed short handed or with a small crew of three or four.
Experience the thrill of sailing with Pacemaker, where performance and comfort allow every journey to become a memorable adventure.
