Catalina 30 MK II AU $49,000

Boat detail
Price AU $49,000
Length 9.12m  |  30ft
Location Soldiers Point Marina, Soldiers Point.
Year 1989

Over 6000 of these brilliant 30 footers were sold worldwide and its no wonder why. They are a great looking, classic yacht with plenty of internal volume and a layout that belies its age and would still be the envy of many brand new production boats in this size range

The cockpit is spacious and a safe place to be when cruising, and there is a solid teak, removable table to make sitting outside at anchor a pleasure. All is well protected by a nice dodger and bimini set up with infill in between. These covers, including the BBQ and lazy bag have been replaced in the past few years.

The classic rig and lazy bag, along with furling headsail make short handed sailing easy work thatnks to the cockpit lead, self tailing, Lewmar winches. While heavily constructed for its size this yacht certainly has a good turn of speed amd feels great in an open ocean environment. When the wind lightens, feel the power of the Beta Marine 25HP shaft drive diesel, that was new in 2019, to get you safely home or to your anchorage of choice.

The volume below deck is huge with an open plan, connect double berth aft to starboard. Also on the starboard side is a chart table, full length settee that doubles as sea berth, flat screen tv and storage. There is a large U shaped galley with top opening electric fridge and L shaped dinette with drop down table to port. Forward of the saloon is a head compartment and additional V berth. There is plenty of storage and opening windows for light and ventilation.

The boat presents as she does in the photos thanks to caring ownership, This is a true standout in the size, price and age bracket.
