The Beneteau First 42s7 is one of Beneteau's most iconic models. Designed by Bruce Farr and Philippe Starck, and built by Beneteau, the result is a true classic. French Bee is hull number 36, owned by just two caring owners since new and is surely one of the best kept 42s7's you'll find anywhere in the world.
Designed with club racing and cruising in mind, this yacht is a joy to sail and spend time on board. The performance hull with deep lead keel means you can certainly win a trophy or two, or just enjoy how she feels through waves. The Perkins 50HP shaft drive diesel has been regularly serviced so will reliably propel you under power when the wind drops.
The Instrumentation was recently upgraded with 12 inch Garmin plotters at the helm and chart table. Jumbo repeaters on the mast, VHF and autopilot at the helm and Fusion stereo were also upgraded for planned cruises that didn't eventuate.
The mast was removed in 2017 with new rod rigging and other upgrades done to ensure safe and easy use of the sails which have all been continuously upgraded where needed for the owners cruising and racing plans, .
Moving downstairs you'll find an expansive saloon in rich cherry wood timber. There is a large U shaped galley and dinette to starboard. A double cabin, head, chart table and additional settee are to port. Forward is a huge owners cabin with offset double to starboard, settee to port and a large ensuite forward in the bow. The upholstery is creme Alcantara and there are plenty of windows and opening hatches bringing in light and ventilation.
